THE GODDESS (2024)
The Goddess was an animated short I made for my Digital Cel Animation class I took during the fall 2024 semester of my second year at CUNY Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
This was the class where I was finally allowed the official opportunity to showcase to teachers and peers my skillsets in making a 2D Animated Short. Starting from creating a concept story, and using industry software, as well as my own 2D Animation Software to make this animated short.
The Characters, backgrounds, and 2D Animation were all done in Clip Studio Paint.
The Idea
My Idea for this project was to create a 2D Animated Mini-Short that was fun to watch, but also included serious, and dark themes.
I wished to show that animation could also be a serious form of storytelling, with serious themes for a serious audience.
Compositing the 2D Animation and Backgrounds, while also including 2D VFX, were all done in Adobe After Effects.
Video Compositing was done in Adobe Premiere Pro.
